How do I clean the cat cave?

We recommend spot-cleaning with a damp cloth or gently handwashing in cold water with mild wool detergent. Reshape while damp and air dry flat. Avoid machine washing or tumble drying.

Do the caves hold their shape?

Yes - the thick felted wool keeps its shape naturally, but can be reshaped by hand if needed. Simply stuff it with towels or soft items and reshape after washing or storage.

What size cat will fit inside the cave?

Our cat caves are roomy enough for most adult cats, including breeds up to around 6–7kg. The 17cm opening makes it easy to climb in and out, while still feeling snug and secure inside.

Is it safe for kittens?

They’re safe for kittens, but supervision is recommended — especially for big-time wool chewers. Our caves are made from durable wool but aren’t designed for gnawing.

What are they made from?

Each cat cave is hand-felted from 100% New Zealand wool and dyed using non-toxic, azo-free dyes. They’re Fair Trade Certified™ and safe for pets and people.
